I spent a good portion of my childhood growing up or visiting relatives in and around Loudoun, Clarke, Fauquier, and Frederick Counties, Virgina. One of my books 'Goose Creek' is a coming-of-age suspense set on an equestrian estate in Loudoun County near the fictional town of Chinsburg (based on Middleburg with a tad of artistic license).

As the editor/proofreader for this story, I can tell you that it's a satisfying read. Allen is a good storyteller who makes you care about the characters. I loved the boys' banter, loyalty, and unspoken fondness for each other, and the vivid detail of life among Virginia's rich and famous. Worth your time, definitely!
